|Leading low modulus, neutral curing silicone sealant Sika Plastix 22A Premium Grade is perfect for a wide range of industrial and construction applications, particularly in glazing, facade, and roofing applications. USES: Sika Plastix 22A is perfect for pointing along the perimeter of UPVC, wood, aluminium, and other window and door frames. Successful in weather sealing, expansion joint sealing and joint sealing of curtain walling, pre-formed facade panels, and aluminium glazing systems. Works well over pre-existing sealant and for general glazing sealing, draught proofing, and repair work. Ideal for roofing and parapet weather sealing applications. Useful for glass-to-glass and glass-to-aluminium sealing as well as hygienic sealing. Effective for industrial sealing of coated metals, anodised aluminium, stainless steel, and soft metals including lead, brass, copper, and zinc. BENEFITS: Shows good primerless adherence to most typical building materials, both porous and non-porous. Useful both inside and outside. Low dirt pick-up, fast drying, almost odourless. Gives a great +/- 25% flexibility. Weather, UV, and chemical resistance as well as waterproof. Range of service temperature resistance: -50 degrees celsius to +150 degrees celsius. EN15651 certified for facade, glazing, cold climate and sanitary applications. APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Verify that surfaces are dry, clean, and free of grease, dust, and other impurities. Application temperatures between +5 degrees celsius and +35 degrees celsius are ideal. Apply with a regular sealant gun, being sure to smooth the sealant for a strong bond. To improve appearance, mask both sides of the joint before application and take off the tape after 15 minutes. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Not to be used in the manufacture of aquariums or with bitumen or asphalt. Do not apply to substrates that could bleed solvents, oils, or plasticisers.
