|Everbuild Fire Sealant 400 is a four-hour rated, neutral cure, elastic silicone sealant, delivering a firm yet flexible seal to joints in a variety of fire-rated structures. Suitable for both internal and external applications, This Sealant offers excellent weather resistance and also provides an acoustic seal. Tested to EN1366-4:2006, this product can be used in joints up to 50mm wide. USES: Sealing joints in fire walls, partitions, and other fire-rated structures. Ideal for fire rated expansion joints. Suitable for use in a range of building joints requiring a fire rating. BENEFITS: Complies with BS EN 1366-4 for up to 4 hours of fire resistance. Neutral cure formulation adheres to most building materials, both porous and non-porous. Permanently flexible, with 25% movement accommodation. Excellent weatherability makes Everbuild Fire Sealant 400 suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Non-slump formula ensures easy application and smooth finishing. Also acts as an acoustic seal.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust. Remove all loose, flaking coatings, and old sealant or mastic joints prior to application. For mortar, use Primer 3N. Enhance adhesion on non-porous surfaces with Sika Aktivator-205.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Not suitable for surfaces that may bleed oils, plasticisers, or are in contact with bitumen or asphalt. Non-sandable; must be smoothed as directed without sanding.
