|Everbuild Silicone 825 (Anthracite) is a high-performance, low modulus, neutral curing silicone sealant based on a filled alkoxy curing system. It is specifically designed to provide longer tooling time on larger joints. This sealant excels in applications such as perimeter pointing around various types of windows and door frames, weather sealing for most outdoor uses, and expansion joints in stone, brick, concrete, and composite panels.USES:Powder-coated aluminium, wood, and PVCu perimeter pointing, both internally and externally.Seals soft metals including lead, copper, and zinc and acts as an adhesive and sealer on PVCu, plastic trims and components.Ideal for weather sealing, draught proofing, glass sealing, curtain walling, joint sealing to pre-formed panels, parapet and roof weather sealing.Ideal as an expansion joint sealant and with precast concrete and masonry products.Insulated glass units bedding and sealing.BENEFITS:Great tooling characteristics and a slow skinning time, ideal for glazing and large-scale building.Strong adhesive properties with the majority of materials, such as wood, uPVC, polycarbonate, metals, plastics, and glass.Excellent weathering characteristics on the outside guarantee durability and functionality during prolonged exposure.Once fully cured, this high viscosity non-slump composition resists severe chemicals including fumed hydrogen peroxide and formaldehyde.APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Prior to large-scale application, adhesion testing is recommended even though Everbuild 825 Silicone (Anthracite) typically does not need a primer on most surfaces. Use Sikaflex Primer 3N on porous surfaces or for immersed joints or weak adhesion. Prime using Sika Aktivator 205 for better adhesion to nonporous surfaces.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Not to be used with neoprene, bitumen, asphalt, and some organic elastomers.Not overpaintable, inappropriate for applications requiring substrates that emit oils, solvents, or plasticisers, or for building aquariums. Use Silicone 565 Clean Room Silicone in food-grade applications; not appropriate as a mirror adhesive.Steer clear of use around swimming pool joints and watch out for possible yellowing while bricks are drying from exposure to bleach or HCl-based cleaners.PTDSIKDIR825ANTH
